Congratulations to Caleb King, recipient of the 2024 Marsden Scholarship awarded by the Roslyn Boys & Girls Club. We are proud of Caleb, and we wish him all the best for a successful future.

Caleb King is one of five children of Justin and Kimberly King and is a graduate of Calvary Christian Academy. He intends to study Mechanical Engineering, with a goal of obtaining a career in the aerospace industry, and will begin his undergraduate career at Drexel University in the fall. He played baseball and soccer at Roslyn Boys & Girls Club and AC United for many years. At Calvary, he participated in student government for three years and acted as a student mentor during grades 10, 11, and 12. He played four years of soccer and ran track for three years at Calvary. Additionally, he has been employed at Chick-Fil-A and Dick’s Sporting Goods, where he currently works. He has served on mission trips to Kenya, Easton, and Coatesville. At Roslyn, he has volunteered at the Jack Howarth Tournament, the snack shack, and has lined and prepared fields for both baseball and soccer programs. His interests include soccer, hiking, rock climbing, baking, reading, pottery, and wood carving. Caleb cited the influence of his coaches at Roslyn and AC United, stating that he learned lessons from some amazing victories and some excruciating losses, all of which helped mold him. The Marsden scholarship will help propel him toward a career that will enable him to contribute to technological advancements that will, hopefully, make the world a better place for the future.
